Why We Built This
Healthcare decisions are easy to oversimplify. System-level rankings, price tables, wait-time reports, and accreditation data can provide context, but they do not tell you whether a specific doctor or facility is right for a specific patient. We built Healthcare Compare to make those tradeoffs easier to examine.
We built Healthcare Compare to let the data speak for itself. No hype, no marketing spin — just side-by-side comparisons that help patients see the full picture.
Our Methodology
Where we reference the World Health Organization’s overall health-system performance ranking, we label it as the historic 2000 assessment rather than a current ranking. Cost figures are planning estimates and should be verified with written provider quotes. Wait-time and quality comparisons can change over time and by region. Our goal is to show the source and limitation of a comparison rather than treat one metric as a verdict.
Who We Are
Healthcare Compare is operated by Scout Theory LLC and is part of a network of medical information resources including Healthcare Colombia and Colombia Medical, a separate referral network that can route patient inquiries to relevant providers. Healthcare Compare may refer users to that network. Provider participation is not a substitute for independently checking credentials, facility standards, and the treatment plan.
